Saint-Gobain CHR 2255-2 Skived High Modulus PTFE Film Tape

Saint Gobain

18-.75H-2255-2

Saint-Gobain 2255-2 is manufactured from modified high-modulus PTFE film coated with high-temperature silicone adhesive. 2255's most outstanding properties are its high dielectric and tensile strength, which make it an extremely durable insulation tape. The high temperature properties of the PTFE and adhesive allow it to perform in continuous temperatures up to 500F. A high-modulus tape, they exhibit low elongation which enables it to be applied with automatic wrapping equipment. The other outstanding featuers include chemical inertness as well as low friction, anti-stick, non-toxic properties and clean release, making it the right material for numerous applications. Applications: The excellent conformability and release properties of the PTFE backing along with the high temperature adhesive coating make these tapes ideal for applications such as phase insulation for budnling end turns, spot bundling and anchoring breakouts. The aerospace industry can also use these tapes to protect airframe wire harnesses.
